Dancing Groot


This clip shows a character animation of baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. The goal was to create an animated character sequence in Houdini with multiple moving parts.

  • rigged using Mixamo
  • used copy to points for the modeled leaves
  • implemented physically-based nodes for the leaves to flow as Groot is dancing
